A weekend mobile detailer serving Fort Collins and Loveland. Customers request an estimate; the owner confirms the scope, price and date separately.

Customers provide a safe off-street space, water and electricity. They remove belongings before the visit. Weather-related changes are arranged with the customer. Additional work needs agreement first.

02 / MAKE A CHANGE

Turn the brief into your version.

  1. Open the sample setup above. Review the business, inquiry route and three services.
  2. Change the headline to A FRESH START.
    FOR EVERY DRIVE.
  3. Change The Outside Reset starting price to 99.50. Leave The Full Reset price empty.
  4. Download your settings. In a copy of the kit, replace website/site-config.js with the download.
  5. Try “Reopen your saved settings” in the setup form with that download. Review the business name and choose “Use these settings” to resume editing.
  6. Open website/index.html and website/services.html from that same copy. Refresh if they were already open.

The hosted demo will not change when you download settings. You are checking the website files in your own downloaded copy.

03 / CHECK THE RESULT

Look for these exact changes.

  • Business name: Weekend Reset.
  • Service area: Fort Collins · Loveland.
  • Homepage headline: A FRESH START. / FOR EVERY DRIVE.
  • The Outside Reset: From $99.50, with cents preserved.
  • The Full Reset: Request an estimate, never $0.
  • Demo inquiry actions remain disabled; no booking or message is sent.
  • The illustration disclosure remains visible.
The page still shows Afterglow

Check that you replaced the file named site-config.js inside the same website folder as the page you opened. A second download may have a name such as site-config (1).js; rename it to the exact original filename. Refresh the page after replacing it.

The image is missing

Keep the assets folder beside the HTML files. The practice settings use assets/detail-hero.png. Open the extracted kit, not an individual HTML file copied elsewhere.

The contact button does not open the example link

That is expected. Practice settings keep demo mode enabled, and the example address is not a booking tool. This exercise does not test real inquiry delivery.

04 / PREPARE THE HANDOFF

Record what is still missing.

Open the client handoff builder from the setup guide included in your download. Enter Weekend Reset, select the existing-tool route and explain that the current destination is a placeholder.

Under remaining work, record: real domain and hosting owner, actual inquiry destination and delivery test, approved client photography, agreed support terms and commercial-use approval.

Leave tests and approvals unchecked when you have not completed them. Download the draft. It should stay a draft, with unknown details marked “Not recorded.” A convincing demo is not a completed client launch.

Return to the handoff later

In the kit’s client handoff builder, record the fictional business and leave unperformed checks unticked. Choose Save editable draft. In a fresh copy of the same handoff builder, select that .json file, review the project name and choose Use this draft. Confirm your notes and incomplete checks return, then make one change and save a new draft.

Keep this editable draft for your own project work. Use Download handoff document for the readable document. Both are local downloads; neither contacts the client or approves a launch.
