A FICTIONAL CLIENT PROJECT
A different garden.
Their own way of working.
Try the brief in a copy of the extracted kit. Preview mode stays enabled. No real inquiry, booking or publication is part of this exercise.
The client: West Acre
A fictional garden care business in Arvada. Area: Arvada · Wheat Ridge. Hours: Monday–Thursday, 8am–4pm Mountain Time. Descriptor: Garden care & planting.
Headline: Good days begin outside. Introduction: Practical care for the garden around your home. Tell us what needs attention, and we’ll agree the work before setting a date.
Keep the services in order. Rename them Regular garden visits, The seasonal tidy and A new border. Use the corresponding homepage labels A regular hand, A seasonal tidy and New planting.
All services require an estimate. Leave starting prices blank. For this exercise, keep the example inclusions and exclusions but mark actual client scope and policies as unverified.
Route: existing inquiry tool, “Request an estimate.” Use https://example.com/garden-inquiry as a placeholder only. Leave phone empty and texts off. Keep the generated garden illustration and its disclosure.
Make it, save it, reopen it.
- Enter the brief in guided setup. Download
site-config.jsbefore leaving. - Replace the file of that exact name inside your working copy’s
websitefolder. Keep the original kit as a backup. - Refresh both local website pages. Expect West Acre, Arvada · Wheat Ridge, the new headline and three “Request an estimate” prices.
- Choose each homepage service. Check the matching renamed service and follow its link: first choice to first service, second to second, third to third.
- Reopen your saved export in setup. Review West Acre in the summary, apply it and confirm all three names and choice labels remain.
- Keep real contact actions disabled. The example.com placeholder must never be presented as the actual client route.
- Review fixed HTML copy and metadata. Avoid invented completed projects, qualifications, environmental benefits or plant guarantees.
Record what still needs doing.
Open the client handoff builder from the package’s documents folder. Record West Acre and the placeholder route. Leave actual delivery proof, device checks, account access and commercial-use approval incomplete.
Remaining work: approved service scope, actual material and waste arrangements, real inquiry destination, domain/hosting ownership, authorized project imagery, commercial terms and agreed support. Export the handoff as a draft.
The exercise helps you try the kit; it is not independent buyer acceptance or demand validation.
Return to the handoff later
In the kit’s client handoff builder, record the fictional business and leave unperformed checks unticked. Choose Save editable draft. In a fresh copy of the same handoff builder, select that .json file, review the project name and choose Use this draft. Confirm your notes and incomplete checks return, then make one change and save a new draft.
Keep this editable draft for your own project work. Use Download handoff document for the readable document. Both are local downloads; neither contacts the client or approves a launch.
